  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine chicken and broth; bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer until chicken is cooked through.
  3. Remove chicken, shred, and set aside.
  4. Strain the broth and reserve.
  5. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  7. Stir in buttermilk and thyme until just combined.
  8. Turn dough onto a floured surface; knead gently and roll out.
  9. Cut into biscuits and place on a baking sheet.
  10. Bake at 425°F for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  11. Serve chicken over biscuits with broth.
