SLOW COOKER CHICKEN AND WILD RICE SOUP

A hearty and flavorful soup featuring chicken, wild rice and turkey bacon, perfect for comforting nights.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breasts
  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup wild rice
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine chicken, turkey bacon, wild rice, broth, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, thyme, and rosemary.
  2. Cook on low for 6-8 hours until chicken is cooked through.
  3. Remove chicken, shred it, and return it to the slow cooker.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can sauté the vegetables before adding them to the slow cooker.
