Delicious homemade donuts made without a fryer!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glazing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the donuts cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  8. Mix the powdered sugar with a few tablespoons of water or milk to create a glaze, then dip the tops of the donuts into the glaze to coat.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add chocolate chips or nuts to the batter.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
