  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for frosting
  • Sprinkles for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Add in egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
  5. Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Let cool completely in the pan.
  8. For the frosting, combine powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  9. Spread the frosting over the cooled cookie bars and top with sprinkles.
  10. Cut into squares and serve.
