Chocolate Mousse Brownies

A rich and indulgent dessert combining the fudgy goodness of brownies with a creamy chocolate mousse.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix sugar, cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Stir until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, melt chocolate chips. Stir until smooth.
  6. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then fold in whipped cream.
  7. Once brownies are baked and cooled, spread the mousse on top.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with whipped cream or chocolate shavings on top.
  • Make sure the brownies are completely cool before adding mousse.
